Smoking the SHISHA pipe (also Called the Nargile, Hookah or Hubbly Bubbly) is one of the most interesting pastimes of Arab world. Said to have originated in Turkey or India, Shisha is served at any street cafes and parlors. Shisha is a tobacco mixed with molasses and fruit flavors, smoked in a hookah. The most popular flavor is apple. Other flavors include strawberry, pineapple, apricot, grape, rose and mint. Shisha smoke is drawn through water t into the mouth using a hookah. The tobacco is placed in the small bowl at the top of the hookah and covered with tin foil. Small holes are poked through the foil. The glass bottom is filled with water. The small extension tube from the brass body extends into the glass in order to draw the smoke down the pipe. As you inhale through the end of the tube, the small holes in the foil allow the shisha to be lit by the hot charcoal and prevent pieces of ash mixing with the tobacco. This releases the exotic fragrance which is d of the hookah through cool water and into the pipe and outh. The delightful sound of the bubbles emerging adds to the relaxing experience.
